After the last supper, soldiers came to arrest Jesus. “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?””

(John‬ ‭18:10–11)

Peter was ready to fight and defend. But Jesus knew a bigger plan was about to unfold. While fighting an injustice feels like it SHOULD be the right thing — reevaluate. That’s not always the case — which feels very counter cultural.

If you’re gonna fight and defend, don’t go in unless you’re sure it’s a battle God has called you to fight.

Trust me. There are many issues you’ll be called to fight. The others…let Him fight for you.
